When: Begins Friday, ends Aug. 14.
Schedule: Morning walkthroughs are from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and afternoon practices run from 2:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. There is no practice the first two Sundays, or from Aug. 8-10. The scrimmage is at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3.
Fan information: Practices are free. Fan parking is in lots 20-23.
Preseason schedule: Aug. 9 vs. Houston, 7 p.m.; Aug. 16 at Buffalo, 6 p.m.; Aug. 25 at San Francisco, 7 p.m.; Aug. 29 vs. Tennessee, 7 p.m. All games on Ch. 11.
After Mankato: The Vikings' practices at Eden Prairie begin Aug. 19 and are closed to the public.
Cutdown days: Teams must cut from 90 to 75 players by Aug. 27, and to 53 by Aug. 31.
Regular season: The Vikings open at Detroit on Sunday, Sept. 8.
