VIKINGS TO WATCH TONIGHT

QB Taylor Heinicke

Heinicke is the third-string quarterback spot, but it remains unknown whether the Vikings will keep three quarterbacks. The team cut Mike Kafka, meaning Heinicke will play most, if not all, of tonight's preseason finale against the Titans. The undrafted rookie free agent quarterback will get one last shot to make an impression, but there's a good chance he ends up on the practice squad.

CB Marcus Sherels

He always is doubted during this time of the year, but Sherels somehow always finds the way to make the team. He has made the most of his limitations in size (5-10 and 175 pounds) to survive the final cuts the past four seasons. Has he shown enough value at cornerback and punt returner to make the squad once more?

OL Tyrus Thompson

Thompson started training camp with a shot at a starting spot, then fell all the way down the depth chart to the third team. Thompson serves as the backup right guard due to injuries along the offensive line. This will be a good opportunity for Thompson to show consistency, something the sixth-round pick has lacked throughout training camp and the preseason.
