GAMEDAY HEROES

TYRANN MATHIEU, CB, Cardinals The Honeybadger made his NFL presence felt, stuffing Nate Burleson a yard short on fourth-and-4.

DeANDRE HOPKINS, WR, Texans His OT touchdown catch capped a day when the first-round pick had seven receptions for 117 yards.

MATT BOSHER, P, Falcons He saved a safety by grabbing a high snap in his own end zone, then got off a wobbly punt that rolled for 63 yards.

GAMEDAY GOATS

DAVID AMERSON, CB, Redskins The rookie couldn't cover and couldn't tackle, and he was a big reason James Jones had 11 catches on 12 targets.

LUKE KUECHLY, LB, Panthers The standout middle linebacker enabled Buffalo's comeback when he committed pass interference to negate an interception.

D.J. WILLIAMS, TE, Jaguars He lined up in the neutral zone on an Oakland punt, giving the Raiders a first down on a drive that ended up with a field goal.

FANTASY RUSH

GOING UP See? Complaining really does work. Mike Wallace had nine catches and a TD a week after moping over catching one pass in a Miami victory.

GOING DOWN The Cowboys appear to be having difficulty running the ball, as evidenced by DeMarco Murray's 25 yards on 12 carries.

LOOKING AHEAD Maurice Jones-Drew has done nothing and has a banged-up ankle, and he draws the tough Seahawks defense in Week 3.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
