Who's Tommy Milone? A 27-year-old lefthander the Twins acquired from Oakland. He was 6-3 in 16 starts for the A's this season before an overcrowded rotation landed him in the minors. He won 13 games in 2012 and 12 in 2013.
Who's Kennys Vargas? A big switch-hitting first baseman/DH who turns 24 on Friday. Was hitting .281 with 17 homers and 63 RBI in 97 games for Class AA New Britain. Played in the Futures Game at Target Field on July 13.
