Aug. 23: First zero-week games — 11 games statewide

Aug. 29-30: Opening weekend for most teams

Oct. 16: Final regular-season games for most teams

Oct. 22: First day of section playoffs (non-Class 6A)

Oct. 25: First day of Class 6A playoffs

Oct. 31, Nov. 1-2: Section championship games

Nov. 7-9: State quarterfinals, at various sites

Nov. 14-16: State semifinals, at Metrodome
