A grand jury has indicted a man on first-degree murder charges for a double homicide in St. Paul last year.

Jamaine J. Williams, 24, was originally charged in December with lesser counts. A grand jury returned indictments late Wednesday, charging him with two counts of premeditated first-degree murder, two counts of intentional second-degree murder, one count of attempted premeditated first-degree murder and one count of attempted intentional second-degree murder.

Williams, whose address is unknown, is accused of fatally shooting Dominic L. Jasper, 26, of Blaine, and Kavonta L. Pratt, 23, address unknown.

The two victims were found dead about 12:40 a.m. Dec. 10 inside an apartment in the 200 block of Forbes Avenue.

A third victim, who survived, was found outside. He suffered gunshot wounds to his chest, neck, head and midsection.

The criminal complaint filed against Williams shows that he has children with a woman who lived at the apartment. Williams and the woman had recently broken up, and the woman and her roommate were dating Pratt and Jasper.
