Chelsea M. Gapp, 22, was charged last week in Clay County District Court with 12 gross-misdemeanor counts of child neglect and child endangerment for allegedly being drunk while responsible for six youngsters at a municipal pool in Moorhead.
Police apprehended Gapp at the Romkey Park pool. The children, ages 2 to 10 and from two families, were returned to their parents.
A preliminary breath test recorded a blood alcohol content level of 0.252 percent.
The officer noted that Gapp "was stumbling around while holding" a 2-year-old in her arms, the complaint read.
Gapp posted bail and remains free ahead of a court hearing next month.
