A 14-year-old boy was massaged repeatedly by his music teacher during private flute lessons in the child's Eden Prairie home over a three-month period in what is the second incident alleged against the man involving one of his young students, authorities said Tuesday.
Robert J. Ladwig, 29, of Coon Rapids, was charged last week in Hennepin County District Court with fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, a felony.
Ladwig has admitted to his ex-wife that he was counseled for struggling with child pornography, the criminal complaint read.
Ladwig and one other instructor offered lessons through Ladwig Music Services. His online biography notes he has been giving private lessons in the Twin Cities area for the past six years, specializing in woodwinds, brass instruments and piano.
He's performed with the National Wind Ensemble, the Southwest Minnesota Orchestra and the 34th Infantry Division Band, the bio continues, with venues ranging from St. Paul's Landmark Center to Manhattan's Carnegie Hall. A Facebook photo he posted shows him outside the hall with the National Wind Ensemble in 2006.
In August, according to the bio, he received a master's degree from St. Mary's University in counseling and psychological services.
According to the complaint:
The boy's father said he came home on June 27 and noticed that Ladwig's car was outside 30 minutes after his son's afternoon lesson was scheduled to end.
