Champlin Park stopped a two-point conversion attempt with seconds left to hold off a late comeback from East Ridge for a 35-33 victory in a Class 6A second-round game Friday night. The Raptors nearly overcame a 21-point deficit in the final seven minutes but could not get the tying points on the conversion.

Blaine 21, Prior Lake 17: Blaine forced a turnover on downs with 1:08 left in the game to defeat Prior Lake.

Eden Prairie 41, Cretin-Derham Hall 7: Dominant defense and a good rushing game got the Eagles past the Raiders. The Eagles allowed a touchdown with three seconds left in the game, ending a streak of shutout defense that spanned back to the final minutes of a 28-15 victory over Maple Grove on Sept. 23.

Class 5A

Andover 20, St. Francis 18 (Section 7): Michael Wandmaker caught a touchdown pass with 23.5 seconds left to lift the Huskies past the Saints. The Saints had one last chance, but a 46-yard field-goal attempt was no good as time expired.

Apple Valley 42, Park of Cottage Grove 35 (Section 3): The Eagles scored 14 points in the fourth quarter to defeat the Wolfpack. Noah Sanders ran in a 1-yard touchdown with 49 seconds left to complete the comeback.

Class 4A

Marshall 17, Hutchinson 14 (Section 2): Jefferson Lee scored the game-winning touchdown with 1:03 remaining to send Marshall to the state tournament for the second year in a row. With Hutchinson leading late in the game, Reece Winkelman sacked Lane Glaser to turn the ball over on downs. Marshall then marched down the field and took the lead on Lee's score.

Fridley 49, St. Paul Highland Park 40 (Section 4): Prince Okolie ran for 290 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Tigers past the Scots.

Benilde-St. Margaret's 44, Holy Angels 29 (Section 5): Ricky Floyd ran for 325 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Knights past the Stars. He also caught a 60-yard touchdown pass.
