YOUR PICK OF INGREDIENTS
• Choose a strong tea that stands up to all those spices. I use PG Tips bulk loose tea from Amazon ($6.74 for 8.8 ounces). Don't use anything too fancy since the primary taste will be the spice.
• Penzey's is a fantastic source for spices (online or at 3028 Hennepin Av. S., Minneapolis, 612-824-9777; 674 Grand Av., St. Paul, 651-224-8448; 7626 160th St. W., Lakeville, 952-953-1788). Or try a local co-op that sells spices in bulk.
• I use fillable tea bags made by Adagio, found on Amazon: $12.50 for a box of 100. Note: When I last purchased these several months ago, they were half this price. I will probably try a new brand when I run out.
• Clear cellophane bags are easily found online and in craft and well-stocked kitchen supply stores. Cello Bags offers a pack of 100 for less than $5. DANA VELDEN
