LIGHT UP THE NIGHT PARADE AND BONFIRE
Known for its self proclaimed monicker as “the Halloween Capital of the World, “ the city of Anoka obviously takes the spooky holiday seriously. Throughout the month, eerie events and fun frights entertain those who want tricks or treats. Even pets get in on the action with a pet costume contest. Children can participate in a pumpkin contest. The Light up the Night Parade rolls down Main Street, followed by a bonfire. (2-10 p.m. Sat. anokahalloween.com.)
