CBS Sports draft analyst Dane Brugler thinks Vikings got a top-five class

May 4, 2016 at 8:24PM

CBS Sports draft analyst Dane Brugler joined the Access Vikings podcast today to give his thoughts on how the Vikings did over the weekend.

Brugler thinks first-round pick Laquon Treadwell is a "perfect" fit for the Vikings offense. Second-round pick Mackensie Alexander was his top-rated cornerback. And overall, he thinks the Vikings got a top-five class.

"I don't do draft grades," he said. "I listed the five teams that I thought just crushed it, did the best not only adding talent and improving the roster, but maximizing value — just everything that is involved with the draft. And the Vikings made my top five, so I'm very impressed with what they did."

But Brugler thinks the other NFC North teams had good weekends, too.

You can listen to the entire interview with Brugler by searching for the Access Vikings podcast on iTunes or by clicking this link on our site.

My co-host, Michael Rand, and I also gave our thoughts on the draft and Rand shared a scorching-hot prediction from Cordarrelle Patterson. Plus I answered a handful of Vikings questions from Twitter. Check it out.
