Cases handled by Jordan Kushner

Some of attorney Jordan Kusher's prominent cases and clients:

• A.C. Ford, convicted for his involvement in the 1992 murder of Minneapolis police officer Jerry Haaf. Kushner was one of his attorneys.

• Family of Gregory Stampley, who died in 1994 in Stillwater prison. Alleging neglect, attorneys Kushner and Larry Leventhal gained a $165,000 settlement.

• Protesters arrested in 1998 and 1999 who attempted to block construction of a new route for Hwy. 55, saying it would disrupt an area sacred to American Indians.

• Protesters arrested during animal genetics conference in 1999.

• Family of Walter Gordon, who died in Washington County jail in 2004. Kushner won $330,000 in a jury verdict, which found that guards were indifferent to Gordon's medical needs.

• Parents who tried unsuccessfully to keep five north Minneapolis schools from closing in 2007.

• Rosemary Williams, who fought a foreclosure eviction in Minneapolis but eventually was forced out of her house.

• Gus Ganley, arrested in "Critical Mass" bike ride in Minneapolis in 2007, was found not guilty; won a $70,800 settlement from the city in January.

• Luce Guillen-Givens, one of the RNC 8, facing trial next month on conspiracy charges arising from protests during the 2008 Republican National Convention.
