Since nearly every music superstar is putting its tickets on sale a year in advance, the Minnesota State Fair doesn't want to be left out. So tickets will go on sale this week for country goddess Carrie Underwood's Aug. 29 concert at the grandstand.

Tickets, priced at $50 and $65, will be available at 10 a.m. Saturday at etix.com, mnstatefair.org, 800- 514-3849 and, for a limited time, the fairgrounds ticket office (only from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday).

This is the earliest the State Fair has put tickets on sale.

Known as the voice of "Sunday Night Football" and co-host of "The CMA Awards" for the past seven years, Underwood has scored 14 No. 1 country singles since winning "American Idol" in 2005. The six-time Grammy winner has released four studio albums, which have sold more than 64 million copies combined, and she will offer "Greatest Hits: Decade #1" on Tuesday.

Underwood last performed in the Twin Cities in 2012 at Target Center. She played at the Minnesota State Fair in 2010.

Underwood and her husband, NHL player Mike Fisher, have announced that they are expecting their first child in the spring.
