An Osseo man found the St. Paul Winter Carnival medallion early Wednesday at a county park in Arden Hills.

Lange Wallgren uncovered the prize, worth $10,000, at Tony Schmidt Regional Park at 3450 Lake Johanna Blvd. after the 11th daily clue was published in the St. Paul Pioneer Press, sponsor of the hunt for the past 60 years.

Wallgren will share part of his winnings with four fellow medallion hunters -- Jake Ingebrigtson of St. Paul, Corey Hargreaves of New Brighton, Alex Valen of North Oaks and Nate Buck of Cottage Grove -- who aided the search.
