CHRISTMAS WITH CANTUS
Dec. 10-19: For sheer vocal finesse and sophistication, the nine men of the Cantus vocal ensemble are nearly unrivaled. The group's Christmas concerts have become something of an institution, and this year are expanded to seven total, including two new venues. The program ranges widely over five centuries of music, in a striking variety of styles enabled by the effortless versatility that is a hallmark of the Cantus singers, along with their typically thoughtful linking narratives. Expect old favorites, some surprises and a feast of consummate vocalism from these seriously impressive performers. (Dec. 10-13 and 17-19, various times and locations. $10-$40. 612-435-0055, cantussings.org.)
