Rock star Lenny Kravitz, who this month released a new retro-sounding album, "It Is Time for a Love Revolution," talked about one of his formative influences, "Led Zeppelin IV."
"It was the first record I heard by them when I was 11. They are one of my favorite rock 'n' roll bands. Why? The power, the songwriting, the innovation, how they took the blues and electrified it and turned it into its own thing -- to absolutely thunder. Jimmy Page is one of the best guitar players ever, [John] Bonham the same with the drums, John Paul Jones and Robert Plant -- the combination is just one of those one-in-a-million things."
