Camaro arrives this February

The return of the Camaro is almost here. The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro goes on sale in February 2009, followed by a convertible version in November 2009, Auto Week reports. The interior has a slightly retro feel, accented by halogen gauges and a racing-inspired steering wheel. The car will be powered by a 6.2-liter V-8 engine with 400- and 422-horsepower variants or a 3.6-liter, 300-horsepower V-6. Auto Week also speculates that, though Chevy isn't confirming it, a 2.0-liter, 260-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine, similar to what is in the Pontiac Solstice, also may be available.

Brand in Brief: Jeep

Jeep's lineup for 2009 features two models that will bepowered by an upgraded 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 that will crank out 357 horsepower. The engine will be available in the Commander model's Limited and Overland versions. The new engine will also be available in the Grand Cherokee model. Jeep's Compass and Patriot models receive an all-new instrument panel with more chrome, greater storage in a center console with a split lid, and new door-trim panels and padding. The Liberty was redesigned in 2008, so most changes are found underneath, in the chassis. These changes include stiffer rear-axle shafts and retuned springs, shocks and anti-roll bars. Rounding out the lineup are the iconic Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited models.
