Cabin owners found their happy spot near Mille Lacs

Heading to the Garrison, Minn. area was heading back to husband's young life.

When we decided to start looking at cabins, we were drawn to the Garrison, Minn., area. This is where my husband came as a child and found his passion for fishing and Lake Mille Lacs. This is where he'd always brought his own family.

The deal was done the minute we looked at it. We both knew it without saying a word. Standing on the deck that chilly March afternoon, looking at the view we would have, our search was over. This find was exactly what we were seeking.

It is our paradise. There is a calm that comes over my husband that I see as soon as we get to the lake. This is a place that we go, relax and appreciate a little slower pace. We enjoy peaceful mornings watching the mallards having their swim, spend afternoons fishing and spend quiet evenings with a campfire.

The only thing better than our weekends alone are the weekends the kids come! We have room for the family and their families and all the dogs. Finding something to do is limited only by our own imagination.
