Busy with the PopCrush site, so I've been a bit remiss on the Blog of Things. Let us redress that. From the upcoming 1960 Survey project, the Loop Pharmacy & Grill:

Everything here is gone. No, wait, that's what I usually say. Most everything here is still around; only the Loop building was gone. Details:

Fine food. I believe the Loop moved across the street when this building went down. Up the block, it's the old Schmitt Music building, before the music mural.

Individually crafted neon, overhanging signs: cities had a small-scale visual appeal we seem uninterested in recreating.
