81,405: The number of LIHEAP applicants statewide, as of Monday. The number is up from 68,076 on the same day in 2006.

126,000: The number of households LIHEAP served statewide last year.

$500/$1,325: The average and largest grants available.

50: Percent of the state median income a client needs to stay below to qualify for LIHEAP.

$5.1 billion: The total federal 2008 LIHEAP allocation for all 50 states, the District of Columbia, five territories and about 140 tribes and tribal organizations.
