By the numbers: Which counties showed up for the election? And which skipped it?

See the geographic tale of Minnesota's low turnout election and which counties ranked the highest in turnout

Minnesota sloughed off its number one ranking for voting turnout in last month's election.

With just under 51 percent turnout, at least five states had a higher percentage of voters cast ballots.

But some Minnesota county's residents put up a good show last month. In Cook County, in far northern Minnesota, more than 70 percent of eligible voters cast ballots. That gives Cook the state's number one turnout position.
