White Castle, the 90-year-old fast-food restaurant chain, will open a store in Oak Park Heights with a grand opening today, a company spokesman said.
The restaurant at 5950 Nova Scotia Av. N. becomes the 19th location in Minnesota and the 400th in the 11 states where the Columbus, Ohio-based chain does business.
WOODBURY
Savers announces Sept. 8 openingSavers has hired 50 employees and plans to open its Woodbury store on Sept. 8, said Sara Gaugl, a spokeswoman for the Washington-based chain of thrift stores.
The store, located in the former Ultimate Electronics building at 8401 Tamarack Road, also announced that its nonprofit partner will be the Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota.
With the addition of its Woodbury store, Savers will have six Twin Cities locations, the others being in Columbia Heights, south Minneapolis, Bloomington, Maplewood and Apple Valley. It has 270 stores nationwide and in Canada and Australia, including stores in St. Cloud, Duluth and Rochester, Minn.
Founded in 1954, Savers partners with nonprofits, which collect brand-name apparel, jewelry, designer shoes and accessories, housewares and furniture, and donate the items to the store. Savers uses the sales proceeds to support charitable organizations' programs and services.

Clinic settles into new homeAdvanced Dermatology Care has moved to a new home at 14130 N. 60th St., next to Famous Dave's restaurant.
The clinic, which provides medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology services including skin cancer surgery, facelifts and liposuction, reopened earlier this month after moving from its former location four blocks away.
