A back-and-forth contest ended with a Derek Johnson single to left that scored two runs. Brainerd led 2-1 until Burnsville rallied for three runs in the bottom of the sixth. Then Brainerd took a late lead on a three-run home run from Alex Rhode in the top of the seventh. Down 5-4 and facing their last at-bats, Burnsville's players loaded the bases and tied the game on a sacrifice fly. Then Johnson's single set his Blaze onto the semifinals.
Semifinals from Midway Stadium coming up next.
