A 21-year-old man from Buffalo, Minn., was killed in a head-on crash with a semitrailer truck Friday morning in Wright County.
Devin Daniel Fortune was driving east on Hwy. 12 in a Pontiac Vibe when he lost control and crossed the center median about 6:45 a.m. A semi traveling westbound collided with the passenger side of the Vibe near Hwy. 25 in Franklin Township, the State Patrol said.
The truck driver, Yia Xiong, 53, of St. Paul, was injured and taken to Regions Hospital, the patrol said. Xiong was wearing a seat belt.
Roads were wet at the time of the crash. Both men were wearing seat belts and alcohol was not a factor, the patrol's report said.
