May 9, 2010 at 7:25PM

Topping the list of weather concerns this week will be two outbreaks ofsevere thunderstorms across the Central states. The first will come Monday intoMonday night, then the next one will occur Wednesday. The severe weather willbe touched off by two separate storms, both of which will cause quite a bit ofrain. The heaviest rainfall this week will be from the central Plains to theNortheast. The band most likely to get a substantial amount of rain from bothstorms will stretch from Nebraska and South Dakota eastward to southern NewEngland. Portions of this zone can expect rainfall amounts in excess of 3inches come next weekend.

Will the area in and around Nashville, Tenn., have more heavy rain this week?Probably not. It appears the worst of the coming storms will pass north ofthere.
