Students at Bruce Vento Elementary School in St. Paul will have an unexpected day off Wednesday because of a pipe burst, according to school district officials.

Classes were to start at 8:30 a.m.

Students who ride the bus to school and have already been picked up were being taken to Johnson High School, 1349 Arcade St. They will be held there until parents can pick them up, said Toya Stewart Downey, a St. Paul School District spokeswoman.
