LOS ANGELES - At LA party, found myself talking to Bruce Jenner scant minutes after the show "Life With the Kardashians" had won a People's Choice Awards for favorite guilty pleasure. I asked him if the younger kids were interested in going to college or staying in show biz. Jenner said he didn't know, but then added: "I don't think everyone should go to college. I went for four years and I learned nothing that had to do with my career. Why should they go to school if it has nothing to do with they want to do with their lives?

Well, I countered, what about reading the great books or having the opportunity to talk philosophy or better yourself as a rounded person? Jenner looked at my like I had just stolen his bowl of Wheaties.
