ID'd: Twin Cities semi driver who died in Stearns County crash

A 61-year-old man from Brooklyn Center was killed Saturday when the semitrailer truck he was driving went off the road and hit a grove of trees in Stearns County, according to the State Patrol.

A 61-year-old man from Brooklyn Center was killed Saturday when the semitrailer truck he was driving went off the road and hit a grove of trees in Stearns County, according to the State Patrol.

The semi was headed west on Interstate 94 east of Hwy. 71 in Sauk Centre Township at 7:54 a.m. when it went off the road.

The man was identified later Saturday as James J. Peifer.
