Tony winner Brian Stokes Mitchell will make his Orchestra Hall debut Jan. 8 in Minneapolis.

The Broadway leading man will apply his smooth baritone to tunes from shows in which he starred, including "Ragtime," "Man of La Mancha," and "Kiss Me, Kate," for which he won a Tony. He will be backed by the Minnesota Orchestra. Stokes appearance is part of a years-long series showcasing stage stars. In recent years, Broadway darlings Patti LuPone and Bernadette Peters have headlined concerts at Orchestra Hall. Tickets are on sale for the 2 p.m. Jan. 8 concert. 612-371-5656.
