Late-night at Azia. Star Tribune file photo.

Following an editor's suggestion, I carped in Thursday's Taste on 10 annoying dining trends of the past decade. Find it here.

But what about the many positive changes that have taken place in the Twin Cities dining scene since 2000? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I'll start. One trend I appreciate is the growth in late-night dining. It used to be that most kitchens in this town turned out the lights around 9:30 or 10 p.m., but today there are plenty of options for catching a delicious meal after the 10 p.m. newscasts. Azia, 112 Eatery, Bar La Grassa, Solera, Barrio, the Anchor Fish & Chips, Chino Latino, Barbette and more; all cook into the night, and all have contributed to a much more vibrant local dining scene.

OK, your turn. Fire away in the comments section.
