Interfaith Outreach hosts free jobs sessionInterfaith Outreach & Community Partners in Plymouth is holding a free jobs session in October, focused on helping people who are unemployed, underemployed or in a job they aren't enjoying.

EDINA
Switch to single-sort recycling beginsEdina is switching from dual-sort to single-sort recycling next week, meaning residents can put all recycling in new 65-gallon carts being dropped off by Allied Waste.
Residents will have the option of asking for smaller carts but are asked to try the large carts for at least a month. Recycling will be picked up every two weeks. For more, call city Recycling Coordinator Solvei Wilmot at 952-826-0463.
Candidates to appearA District 49 state Senate candidates forum will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in the Edina City Hall council chambers. Candidates are Republican Keith Downey and DFLerMelisa Franzen. The League of Women Voters of Edina will sponsor the forum.
Police officer is a 'Top Shooter'Edina police officer Brandon Kuske won a "Top Shooter" award in a regional pistol shooting competition in Rosemount in August.
More than 50 police officers and FBI agents from the Midwest and Canada tested their shooting skills. Kuske, a member of the Edina SWAT team, made it through a course that tested long-distance, barricade and shooting-in-motion in 65.48 seconds.
