The Eagan Fire Department will offer a class in hands-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation, a simple skill that could save a life.
Most heart attacks occur outside a hospital, at a park, the workplace or the home. Effective bystander CPR, provided immediately after cardiac arrest, can double or triple a victim's chance of survival.
The class will be offered Feb. 1 in two sessions — one from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and the other from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Both will be at Eagan Fire Staton 2, 2980 Lone Oak Circle.
Register by calling the fire department at 651-675-5900.
