] CARLOS GONZALEZ • cgonzalez@startribune.com – August 3, 2017, Mankato, MN, Minnesota State University Mankato, Minnesota Vikings Training Camp, NFLAs the Vikings get ready for their first home preseason game on Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers, they'll be without a couple of their veterans.

Tight end Kyle Rudolph, who didn't practice at the end of last week with a leg injury, won't dress for the Vikings' third preseason game, the team announced. Defensive end Brian Robison also won't play after injuring his right leg in practice this week, though Robison told our Andrew Krammer he expects to be ready for Week 1.

The Vikings will also be without wide receiver Moritz Böhringer and cornerback Terrell Sinkfield against the 49ers. They will, however, have many of the veterans who missed time in their first two preseason games, including running back Latavius Murray, left tackle Riley Reiff and cornerback Trae Waynes.

With Rudolph out, David Morgan will start at tight end. The Vikings also announced rookie Ben Gedeon will start at weak-side linebacker, giving him a chance to stake his claim to the spot after his battle with Edmond Robinson and Emmanuel Lamur.
