We told you Friday afternoon that Brian "BT" Turner would most likely be leaving the morning shift and taking a position in sales.

Now it's official.

Cities 97 announced Monday that Turner will be replaced by longtime afternoon DJ Brian Oake, who will take over in mid-April, from 6-11 a.m. A search has begun for a new afternoon host and a co-host for Oake in the morning.

Turner, who has presided in the mornings for 15 years, will continue to host the Sunday morning show, "Acoustic Sunrise," and work in the sales department.

"I find great enjoyment in building businesses, but also working with the Cities 97 audience," Turner said. "Cities 97 has always been about innovation and evolution, and this new opportunity for me is a shining example of that."
