Brand in Brief: Dodge

This Chrysler badge offers a stunning variety of models for 2009, Auto Week reports in its recent Buyer's Guide edition. The Avenger received only moderate changes for the new model year and has an affordable base price of $20,505. The Caliber provides plenty of small-car appeal for an even more affordable base price of $16,290. Dodge also offers plenty of muscle for 2009 with the new, head-turning Dodge Challenger and the roomy, potent Dodge Charger. Challenger prices start at $22,000, Charger prices at $24,500. Dodge's popular Durango SUV will now be available as a two-mode hybrid that's mated to a Hemi V-8 for 25 percent fuel-economy improvement overall. Durango's prices start at $28,000. Rounding out Dodge's lineup are: Dakota pickup truck, $21,265 base price; Grand Caravan minivan, $24,300; Journey crossover vehicle, $20,750; Nitro compact SUV, $22,135; Ram full-size truck, $22,170; Sprinter van, $37,150; and Viper sports car, $88,000.
