A woman was struck and killed by a motorist Thursday night in the parking lot of a central Minnesota gas station.

The driver of a Chevrolet Silverado was driving at a high speed when she hit Gloria May Rosekrans about 6:30 p.m. outside the Super Stop at Hwys. 169 and 27 north of Onamia, the State Patrol said.

Rosekrans, 72, of Brainerd, was leaving the gas station's convenience store when she was hit. She died at the scene, the patrol said.

The pickup truck driver, Brenda Lee Beaulieu, 69, of Isle, Minn., was taken to a hospital with noncritical injuries, the patrol said.

Beaulieu was wearing a seat belt. Two 12-year-old children riding in her truck also were taken to a hospital with noncritical injuries. One of them was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol said.

Alcohol did not appear to have been a factor in the incident, which is under investigation.
