Third baseman Brad Boyer drove in four runs as the St. Paul Saints beat host Sioux Falls 6-3 on Saturday in an American Association baseball game.

Boyer hit a solo homer and had two run-scoring groundouts. Teammate Dwight Childs, a catcher, also hit a solo homer. It was Boyer's sixth homer of the season and Child's fourth.

Boyer went into the game hitting a team-high .375 — he went 2-for-4 to raise his average a bit — and tied for the team lead in RBI with 35.

He also made a big defensive play for the Saints in the seventh inning, starting a 5-4-3 double play with a diving stop while a run scored. The Canaries next hitter hit a solo homer for their third run.

The victory was the Saints' fifth in a row after a six-game losing streak. They are 22-19.
