Boy stabbed during Woodbury fight released from hospital

Injuries inflicted after basketball playoff game at East Ridge High School.

A 16-year-old boy who was stabbed in the chest after a basketball game in Woodbury has been released from the hospital, police said Friday.

The boy sustained "major injuries" last week after a section playoff boys' basketball game between North St. Paul and Tartan high schools, police said.

As of Friday afternoon, no suspects were in custody.

Woodbury detectives have identified and interviewed people involved, and continue to investigate the crime, police said.
