A 5-year-old boy was unresponsive after being pulled out of the water at Carver Lake Park in Woodbury on Saturday afternoon.
His condition was unknown late Saturday.
A neighbor who was watching the child discovered he had gone missing. Police were called about 4:30 p.m.
A group of 30 to 50 people formed a human chain combing the beach and water for the boy, said Sgt. Jason Posel with the Woodbury Police Department.
The boy was located underwater and paramedics performed CPR on him but he was unresponsive, police said. He was taken to Regions Hospital.
