If you enjoy bird books you might enjoy taking a look at Spring birding and natural history releases planned by Princeton University Press. Its Spring catalog is avaiable as a PDF file at http://press.princeton.edu/blog/2010/10/13/pgs-catalog-birds-natural-history/

The catalog shows upcoming books plus other titles still in print. It's a great holiday gift list.

Another book note: Half Price Books, at 5017 Excelsior Blvd. in St. Louis Park, has a very good selection of books about birds. They're a little light on ID books, but more than make up for that with dozens of titles about many other aspects of birds and birding. I see books there that I don't see at the stores selling new books, probably because HPB's inventory ranges over many years of publication. (Many of their books are new, however.) And, the prices are right.
