Boneshaker Books, your favorite neighborhood alternative slightly lefty independent bookstore, is fresh off a successful Kickstarter campaign that will allow them to expand the store. And now they're planning thirty days of reading for June, which will be punctuated with author appearances every Thursday, a night of silent reading at a local tavern, and a book swap. They've also made mention of a book-themed bicycle race at the end of the month.
(Boneshaker is, after all, the bookstore that delivers special-ordered books to your door via bicycle courier.)
Here's the Thursday night lineup, beginning on the last day of May:
May 31: Oliver St. John and Luke Marcott, reading from their surreal fiction.
June 7: Tony Rauch. ("I'm Right Here.")
June 14: Marlon James. ("The Book of Night Women")
June 21: Rhoda Gilman. ("Stand Up!")
June 28 still to be booked. All readings begin at 7 p.m.
