Bon Iver adds second Orpheum show Sept. 6

Tickets to the second gig go on sale Friday at noon along with what's left from the already announced Sept. 7 concert.

Even before the previously announced Sept. 7 concert has officially gone on sale, a second Bon Iver concert has been announced at the Orpheum Theatre for Sept. 6. Tickets to the Sept. 6 gig go on sale Friday at noon ($50.25 after fees) along with what's left from the Sept. 7 date. Kathleen Edwards will be the opener both nights.

Bon Iver's associates had already let word slip out this would be a two-night affair, but I don't know if they expected to make the second announcement so soon. The dude/band obviously has a web-savvy ticketbuying crowd. Fans had pre-sale access today via the Current and elsewhere for tickets to the Sept. 7 concert. Yes, it's a little confusing: The second of the two shows was announced first, but the first will go on sale second. In the immortal words of Bud Abbott, I don't know who's on third.
