Body recovered from Minnesota River near Bloomington

Emergency crews recovered the body of a 26-year-old man from the Minnesota River on Tuesday afternoon.

A pedestrian called 911 after seeing an abandoned bike on a service road alongside the river under the Interstate 35W bridge in Bloomington. The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office recovered the body.

The Hennepin County medical examiner's office will identify the man and determine the cause of death.

Bloomington Police and Fire also responded to the scene.
