The body of a woman in her 80s or 90s was found Tuesday evening in a pond in Bloomington, police said.
A passerby spotted the woman's body in the pond behind a group of townhouses in the 11000 block of Oregon Circle about 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. It is not known how the woman came to be in the pond or how long she had been there. The pond is surrounded by trees and does not have a walking path.
The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office water patrol pulled the body from the water. The incident is under investigation.
