A body found floating in a pond just north of Rochester was tentatively identified Monday as William "Harry" Harrison Hempy, the 21-year-old college student who had been missing since late March.

The fully clothed body was discovered about 7 p.m. Sunday in the water in the 4600 block of East River Road NE., about 5 miles from his family's home, according to the Southern Minnesota regional medical examiner's office.

Although final results of the autopsy are pending, authorities are not suspecting foul play.

Hempy was on spring break and within weeks of graduating from the University of Illinois, but he had not been heard from since March 25, when he called his father to say he had "gone for a run" and would be late coming home for a family event in Rochester.

Cellphone records show the call came from 55th Street NW. and W. River Road, police said.
