The body of an Aitkin County man missing since last month has been found in Pine County, near where his vehicle had been.
Edward “Fritz” C. Schultz was last seen in Ogilvie, Minn., on April 26. His vehicle was found in the Lake Lena area in Pine County, but previous searches had not been able to find the 57-year-old.
On Tuesday, searchers expanded their effort and a helicopter joined them. Schultz’s body was found in Mud Lake, about a half-mile from his vehicle, the Pine County Sheriff’s Office said.
The body has been positively identified as Schultz’s by the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office. A cause of death is still pending.
