Wright County sheriff's deputies on Tuesday discovered a body inside a submerged vehicle in the Crow River believed to be a missing Monticello woman.

Officers responded to the 2500 block of County Road 12 South in Marysville Township around 2:30 p.m. on a report of a vehicle in the river. The car matches the description of a vehicle linked to 39-year-old Tanisha Maehling, who was last seen by relatives Saturday evening.

Loved ones lost contact with her after that, which they said was out of character due to her health concerns.

Maehling was known to drive a 2008 black Lincoln MKX.

The medical examiner has not yet made a positive identification on the body. The crash remains under investigation.
