Police in St. Cloud are investigating after a body was found lying near railroad tracks.

A person walking a dog on Sunday morning spotted a man's body in a wooded area approximately 50 feet east of the railroad tracks near the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue SE., said police spokesman Jeff Oxton.

The death does not appear to be related to the railroad tracks and foul play is not suspected, Oxton said.

The victim appears to be a "middle age male," Oxton said, according to a preliminary identification.

The body was sent to the Anoka County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy. Officers will work with the medical examiner's office to determine the cause and manner of death.
