A body was found partly submerged in the Mississippi River in Fridley on Friday afternoon, authorities said.
The Anoka County Sheriff's Office received a call about 2:30 p.m. that someone had seen the body near Interstate 694 and East River Road. The Fridley police and fire departments went to the scene. The Anoka County crime investigative division and crime lab also responded. That is standard procedure, authorities said, and does not mean foul play was involved.
Authorities said there have been no recent reports of suicides or any missing-persons reports filed in neighboring communities.
